Our Story
"Now wherever you go, make disciples of all nations..." Matthew 28:19
Background
We live in a rural community called Pa Deng, only 10 kilometers over the mountains from the border with Myanmar. The Karen people in our village used to have a subsistence lifestyle in the Myanmar jungle and fled to Thailand because of ethnic warfare. Their conditions are now safe and more stable, but many of them struggle to provide enough for their families.

We first began reaching out to the Karen families by offering homework tutoring to their kids. Over the years, opportunities to preserve cultural traditions and strengthen the local community have grown. We've been involved in church planting, Karen language preservation, and student scholarships.
What's Next
As we continue to evaluate what our community needs most, we are shifting our efforts to focus on training and raising up young generation leaders. We want to see the families of Pa Deng proud of who they are, thankful for what they've accomplished and eager to share stories of their resilience and the faithfulness of God in their lives.
